New acquisitions
On the move
The archive for the depository of unpublished contemporary classical music is to be moved from Svensk Musik’s premises in Stockholm, to secure premises at Riksarkivet (the National Archives of Sweden), within the Greater Stockholm area.
This will in no way affect the availability of the music, as Svensk Musik has scanned the archive into computer files. Svensk Musik has for several years been using the digital print documentation to produce performance material.
Any composers wishing to access their original sheet music copies can, just as before, do so by contacting Svensk Musik, which will then request the manuscript from the archive.
Composers who, for whatever reason, do not want their deposited manuscript to be moved along with the deposited work to Riksarkivet may, of course, collect their manuscript or have it sent to their address. If you would like this to be done, please contact Svensk Musik before 1 May, 2012.
